Eluveitie es un grupo de folk metal originario de Winterthur, Suiza. El nombre de la banda significa "El helvético" en galo, y se pronuncia El-Vey-Ti. Fue formada en el año 2002 por Chrigel Glanzmann, con la idea de crear una banda basada en la cultura de la antigua Helvecia gala; incluso parte de algunas canciones están cantadas en galo antiguo. La música es característica por la presencia de intrumentos celtas clásicos como la zanfoña o la gaita sobre una base de death metal melódico.
